Abstract: Electromagnetic suspension is an engineering processing method applied to the principle of electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic force in material processing, which is still a relatively new technology in the field of material processing. Its main application is in the suspension metal smelting, with no container wall pollution, melt uniformity, heating melting speed and surface gas-liquid phase balance speed and other advantages. This paper mainly analyzes its main principles, introduces the advantages of suspended smelting, lists the main applications of suspended smelting in material processing, and briefly introduces the achievements made by suspended smelting in the preparation of new materials in recent years.<br>Keywords: suspension smelting, electromagnetic suspension, principles, applications, preparation of new materials
