The working principle of this device as follow: If scaly bud of inverted garlic seed extends from limited notch, the line of infrared sensor would be sheltered and reflected, then trigger MCU and export electric signal to relays and pneumatic solenoid valves, at this time, inner circle of the first pneumatic solenoid value is electric, the air path changes and high air fills into cylinder, the push rod take rotational hopper moves horizontally to below of seed placed funnel, then the second pneumatic solenoid value was electric, the push rod of opening and closing control cylinder make seed placed funnel opens, garlic seed falls into rotational hopper. Finally, the third pneumatic solenoid value was electric, the rotational cylinder drives rotational hopper rotates 180°, garlic seed falls into inserted device with scaly bud upward. 3.5 Experiment of automatic garlic seed directing deviceFor proving whole work effect of automatic garlic seed directing device, the directing test was carried out, as shown in Fig. 12. When test, we chose artificial for sending seeds, a transparent cone hopper was placed under rotational hopper for easy to count the rate of scaly bud is upward. The Lanling garlic and Jinxiang garlic were selected 100 seeds respectively, and the test was carried out in five times. The test result was shown in Table 4.
