4.5.41 The motor terminal box shall be of die cast aluminum alloy or cast iron diagonally-splittype with suitable gasket to prevent ingress of moisture and dirt. The terminal box shallbe located at any of the four 90 deg positions with threaded hole for mounting cable gland.4.5.42 The motor terminals shall be totally enclosed both from atmosphere and from the motorwinding. They shall be substantially designed and fully insulated from the frame.Terminal markings and rating plate shall be in accordance with EN 60034 -1.4.5.43 The motor bearings shall have 15 years of average life and shall be pre-lubricated withdouble shields designed for resisting contamination. Ball or roller bearings shall havegrease fittings and minimum pressure relief fittings for in-service lubrication.4.5.44 All rotating and electrically energized parts of motor shall be covered. All openings ofmotor shall be properly guarded by louvers or screens. Earthing terminal with cable linkshall be provided on the motor.4.5.45 The enclosure of motor shall be made of die cast aluminum alloy or cast iron with oxidezinc chromate primer and epoxy resin finish coat.
