In recent years, laser detection system has been widely used in precision manufacturing system. The laser CMM is a kind of CMM which can fix the laser probe on the CMM and measure the complex 3D sculpture geometry quickly. These machines can capture a large number of data points in the order of thousands of points per second, with good accuracy. This method is non-contact, suitable for fragile and soft parts, and faster, can obtain complete surface profile data in the shortest time. This paper introduces the application of laser detection technology in the precision parts such as turbine blade wax pattern and ceramic core, and introduces the development of land-based power generation turbine blade by reverse engineering.
