I prefer homework that is openComparing to the traditional homework, I prefer homework that is open, such as reading books outside class, doing surveys and volunteering. One day before the Tree Planting Day this year, my biology teacher gave each team of my class an interesting task. She asked us to do a survey about the trees planted in our school. We had to find out how many trees there were in each part and where more trees needed to be planted. My teammates and I walked through the whole area, counting and taking notes. Finally, we finished the report and got highly praised. In my opinion, the homework which is open can give me more opportunities to express my ideas. What’s more, I can learn different skills more than just copying and memorizing while I’m doing it.
