In 2020, the group launched a new quality KPI “CG First Go” , this KPI include 8 quality defects ,LDL defect is one of them and also was the bottleneck for BAO plant, how to solve this problem has become the key to whether this KPI can be achieved.In order to overcome this problem, at the call of the managers, a special project team was established. Li Yang, who from the PE department, was responsible for organizing quality and production to join to this topic. Through a large amount of data collection, analysis and investigation, we have made a series of plans to verify whether the measures are effective. After many attempts and failures, we finally found the key point to solve this problem-by changing the trimming method of the glass fiber, the stress of the glass fiber was eliminated to avoid delamination.After the method was implemented, we had implemented a comprehensive explanation and training on the three 62.2P2. The strict implementation of production and quality inspection and confirmation , finally we saw the good results. The LDL defect qualification rate has increased from 0% to 55%, and about 30% of the blades were free of LDL defects, the quality score in March was a perfect score (120 points). It can be said that we have achieved a staged success.Ø With this improvement alone, we have achieved considerable benefits:Ø Three 62.2P2 can directly save about 78,571 $ DM throughout the year;Ø Blade quality improvement;Ø The post moulding CT can be reduced 15 minutes;Ø Reduced cutting dust and reduced the safety risk of the cutting operation;Ø Energy saving;The next step is to maintain and promote.
