智慧课堂实现了教师备课方式的改革，从原来的手写走向键盘输入，从纯本文方式实现超文本方式，教师可以进行电子备课，备课系统可以集教案、教学素材（课件）、课堂练习、作业等多种资源于一体，更重要的是实现了教师备课资源的共享。教师可以在办公室里备课，进行课件的设计和制作，把自己制作的教案、教学素材（课件）上传到网上备课系统。也可以在家中将自己设计的教案、课件等直接上传到网上备课系统，还可以通过搜索引擎直接从互联网上检索、下载教育教学上所需要的教案、课件或论文等各种有用资源，并进一步加工整理，为我所用。同时，多媒体与网络工具应用于课堂教学，使教学内容集文字、图像、动画、视频等信息功能于一体，图像清晰，动态感强，信息量大，能最大限度地调动、激发学生的学习积极性和主动性，实现课堂教学的大容量、多信息、多趣味和高效率。通过多媒体课件生动形象地演示能有效地突破重点、难点，从而来激发学生的兴趣，取得了比较好的效果。
