Standby charge storage environment – Set the Temp/Humidity chamber to 40 +/- 2 °C with 90%~95%RH. Remove the units from the Salt Spray chamber, the units should be powered on and connect with standard chargers inside the Temp/Humidity chamber and store them for 18 hours. The USB cable used for charging should be inspected to ensure no obvious connector corrosion and make sure the charging function is good. The cable will collect some salt from testing units. If the cables have been used many times, then the cable itself may have degraded, and may affect the test device results. If corrosion or charging function issue was found, the cable need to be changed as soon as possible. Remove the units from the chamber and let the units sit at room temperature for 1-2 hours to completely dry off and discharge the units to 20%~30% battery power. Observe the state of USB port by using a microscope and take pictures (both sides of the USB port need to be taken). Perform 10 cycles of USB insertion and then take a basic manual function test on all units (i.e. charging, data transmission and OTG functionality). Record any failures and/or observations including cosmetic failures using the template located on Appendix A below. This completes the first loop of this test. Note: Please use new in-box USB cable for USBC functional check during the whole test.
