DisaerationThe amount of dissolved oxygen in the condensate should be kept to minimum because of likely corrosion. The solubility of oxygen increased with increased undercooling of the condensate; however, around the boiling point oxygen as well as other dissolved recurrent gases are given off. Therefore if the condenser is operated above undercooling tempera- tures, deaeration will take place.
