Related to caring for the baby, mothers also specifically discussed their partner’s involvement with the breastfeeding process and feedings. Examples of this type of support include bringing the baby to the mother when it is time to breastfeed, assistance during feedings (i.e. helping the baby to latch, feeding the baby a bottle of pumped milk, assistance with proper positioning), helping to create and being aware of the feeding schedule for the baby, burping the baby during and after feedings, and tracking feedings and dirty diapers.
