Accordingly, interoperability testing should focuses on the efficiency of service between operating systems, whose premise is transferring date correctly, understanding information accurately, and having common expectation for the execution results. Thus, interoperability has three levels: data transfer, information comprehension and service sharing.From the perspective of integrated application testing, this paper defines the “interoperability between operating systems” as below.Definition 1. In order to meet the requirements of software interoperation, operating system which provides environment for applications should follow the related API standards and own the abilities of data transfer, information understanding and service sharing.In essence, interoperability testing between operating systems is based on the test target of three levels. Firstly, the testing calls the API to drive system kernels via applications, and then sets a verdict according to the ability of interoperation between operating systems.
