Noble metal nanoparticles, such as platinum, gold, and silver, have good catalytic properties. They are widely used as catalysts in electrochemically modified electrodes. Among them, nano-sized gold has the advantages of good biological affinity, corrosion resistance, high sensitivity, convenient and fast production, etc., and is widely used in modified electrodes. Gold nanoparticle modified electrode has better stability, better reproducibility, higher sensitivity and selectivity. Several preparation methods of gold nanoparticle modified electrodes and their applications in material analysis, drug detection, biological analysis, and food analysis are reviewed, and their development directions are prospected.
