EA enables users to transform work. Work transformation can include one or more of the following: the timing of the decision-making eliminating “waste” work, such as manually finding and processing manufacturing data the location of the decision-making the consistency of the decision-making optimization of experts’ time by enabling less experienced users to make more of the decisions, allowing the experts to work on new challenges and opportunities Given that the definition of EA will be based on the Zachman Framework, the use of fundamental communication primitive interrogatives will disintegrate the high-level objectives and business processes to define specific requirements. This approach – outlined in Figure 11 below – is fundamental in breaking down the ISA-95 iMOM structure into manageable and consumable chunks of knowledge and the work needed within an enterprise.
