Based on fieldwork and guided by system theory, this article combines the theories of memetics, urban morphology, space syntax, and color science to divide the architectural style of the "three urban areas" (synchronicity) into "four stages" (Diachronic) Analyze the architectural style of the old city of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou from the four aspects of architectural style, urban space structure, architectural color, and urban skyline, and explore the reasons for the lack of regional features and homogeneity of the architectural style of the old city. Problems and characteristics propose corresponding protection principles and measures.
