自始至终，无论生活生活有多坎坷，物质生活有多匮乏，思特里克兰德都能够牢记自己的梦想，努力为自己发光。即便是在巴黎走投无路，衣衫褴褛，流落街头，他也依然能够坚持创作。后来思特里克兰德来到了塔希提岛，在这里他依旧没有放弃自己的梦想，日夜坚持画画，创作作品，让自己的灵魂时刻为自己心中的梦想所燃烧。

From beginning to end, no matter how rough life is and how scarce material life is, Strickland can remember his dream and strive to shine for himself. Even in Paris, desperate, ragged and living on the streets, he can still insist on his creation. Later, Strickland came to Tahiti, where he still didn't give up his dream. He continued to draw and create works day and night, so that his soul could be burned by the dream in his heart all the time.
