I routinely ask my students at the University of Washington to pose the model; one proposed blindfolding and binding the model’s hands, very dramatic. Another came in with a set of props, a Viking helmet, sunglasses, a fur coat, and a skull. Setting a directional light threw a great homed-cast shadow on the wall. In another class, we set-up a murder scene, replete with a toppled chair, knife and rubber rat, noirishly lit.
