The parameter Z is taken as 102 to include the lifting effect of water on the adsorbed cation (see the Supporting Information). The surface diffusion enhancement created by water molecules disappears withincreasing temperature and converges to unity at 983 K (Figure 5 B), which suggests that the observed water-mediated surface diffusion corresponds to diffusion values normally obtained at high temperatures.
