Reading is the most important way of cognition for human beings. With the advent of the digital new media era, reading media has changed from traditional paper to terminals such as mobile phones and tablets. The way people read has also changed, and a new way of reading—fragmented reading has gradually become popular. For contemporary college students, fragmented reading based on mobile terminals has long become an important part of their lives and learning. This research analyzes the reasons for the prevalence of fragmented reading and the advantages and disadvantages of fragmented reading from the perspective of college students on the basis of consulting and designing and sorting out relevant domestic and foreign documents. Finally, a guiding strategy is proposed to avoid the negative impact of excessive fragmented reading on college students.
