abstract<br>This paper presents a general BGA test fixture which uses servo control drive instead of manual pressure. Through the closed-loop control technology of servo motor, the precise movement of the clamp head at the level of micrometres is realized. In the developed fixture, the minimum step angle of the driving motor is 1.8 ° and the lead of the driving lead screw is 2mm. Therefore, when the motor rotates a step angle, the displacement accuracy of the fixture head is 10 μ M. the pressure of the fixture when it compresses the BGA device is uniform and stable. Colleagues use the negative pressure feedback technology to control the pressure, which effectively avoids the difference of force applied by different personnel during manual clamping BGA device damage. The fixture is suitable for testing BGA devices of different sizes and sizes of solder balls.<br>
