Nevertheless, on the other hand, the reaction due to the weekend interruption shows that he is aware of the presence of the analyst—he notices his absence in that way. All of this refers to looking at this superficially. So the question to ask, nevertheless, is which way does the patient react to the end of the analysiseven though it is a reaction to the stimulus of a temporary termination.
