Injection molding is a near-net-shape process widely used inthe manufacturing industry [1]. More than 70% of the non- standard components in consumer products are produced by injection molding [2]. In this process, the molten plastic fillsthe void formed by an injection mold that consists of moldpieces, including a cavity, core, and (sometimes) side-cores [3]. Once the filled material is solidified, the mold piece as-sembly is opened, and the molded article is ejected. The ejec-tion direction of the molded article is the positive parting di-rection, and the movement direction of the core is the negative parting direction.
