In order to ensure reliable load release and normal operation, it is necessary to accurately control the load overload and load speed. The main charge type, gas mass flow rate, shear screw weakening groove diameter, piston stroke, piston diameter and initial volume are analyzed in detail, which affect load release. The key factors of the empirical study focused on the influence of gas mass flow rate, shear screw weakening groove diameter and piston movement stroke on the design index, so as to obtain the design parameter combination that meets all the design index requirements. Verification by means of numerical simulation and ignition test shows that the determined combination of design parameters can meet the design index requirements.
