Two (2) oil fired steam boilers are to be provided with HFO and MGO suctions from the HFO / MGO service tanks which are in common with the main D.G. sets.Fuel from the service tanks is to be circulated under pressure via two skids, each designed to feed one boiler and consisting of two magnetic drive boiler HFO/MGO feed pumps (one duty and the other stand-by). These are to be screw-type pumps each having the capacity for one boiler. A filter is located in the suction of each pump. Pumps are to be capable of continuous running on MGO with a viscosity of 2cSt.To facilitate atomization, FO viscosity is to be lowered by two (2) heat exchangers (one working – steam type, and one stand-by – electric type) with temperature control.Excess pressure from the supply line to be led to the return line. The skids are to be pre-piped and wired and are to be complete with all fittings for correct operation. Lighting up of the oil fired boiler pilot burner flame is to be performed automatically on MGO and operation thereafter is fully automatic. The changeover from MGO to HFO and viceversa is initiated manually followed by automatic operation. Two MGO ignition pumps (one per skid) for the ignition of the main boiler burner are to be also fitted into the skids. All the HFO lines are to be electric trace heated including those inside the skid.
