The mechanical press of the hybrid mechanism with differential gear train will be designed in this section based on the 200-ton mechanical press as the engineering background. The basic parameters of the 200-ton mechanical press are: the stroke times are 40 strokes per minute; the range of the slide is 160 mm; the conventional pressure is 200 tons; the working torque of the crankshaft in the stamping-punch stage is 21732 Nm; the distance to the bottom dead center is 12 mm when nominal pressure occurs. Based on the 200-ton mechanical press, the drive system of the hybrid mechanism is designed (Figure 5). The conventional motor is connected with the center gear zb of the differential gear train through belt rollers r1, r2 , and gears z5 , z6 . The servomotor links the center gear za of the differential gear train through the gears z1 , z2 , and z3 , z4 . The output axis of the differential gear train is connected with the crankshaft of the crank slide mechanism.
