It can be obtained from Figure 6 that the curves of CSand CL coefficients created by the different yaw angles arein good agreement between the experimental and numerical data. It should be noted that there is a greater difference in CL coefficient than in the CS coefficient, whichmay be caused by the high stochastic turbulence produced by truss bridge in crosswinds. In fact, the lift forcecan be easily affected by wind characteristics underneaththe train (Zhang, Li, Tian, Gao, & Sheridan, 2016) and thecomplete agreement of the results cannot be expected forthe flows because the flow is turbulent. The maximumerror between the simulation and test is less than 10%,which implies the numerical results are an acceptableagreement in engineering application.
