The middle part of the body of the heavy armored car ADGZ occupied the fighting compartment. In the front and rear parts of the fighting compartment at the right side there were steering posts. An overview of the driver’s mechanics was provided by the windows located in the frontal and aft armor plates of the combat compartment, which were covered with armored slides with sufficiently large viewing slots. Bullet-proof glass was installed in the viewing slots. On the march and outside the combat situation, part or all of the upper doors of the side doors could be opened for better observation of the terrain. In addition, for observation of the terrain in the upper part of the sides of the combat compartment of an armored car there were three embrasures with armored valves each. Two round embrasures located at the upper inner corners of the upper doors, and the third - in the middle between them and slightly lower. On the roof of the fighting compartment of an armored car with a slight displacement, a three-seat tower of circular rotation was installed with a cylindrical shape. At the same time, the frontal armor plate of the tower was flat. The roof of the rotating tower was a dual-pitch, and its rear slope was a hatch cover. It consisted of two parts, which were interconnected by means of hinge loops. The hatch cover could fold up and lean forward, and through it one could monitor the terrain or get inside the armored car or vice versa leave it.The 6-cylinder carburetor 12-liter Austro-Daimler M 612 engine, which developed the maximum power of the 203 hp, was installed in the rear of the armored vehicle. It also housed a hydraulic gearbox manufactured by Voith, which provided the vehicle with forward and backward movement at the same speed. With a combat mass of almost 12 tons, the ADGZ armored car developed a good speed on the highway - up to 70 km / h, and its cruising range reached 450 km.
