Inlet gases’ relative humidity is also subject to sharp variations during start up, warm up, or peak power operation phases. As we shall see, the influence on the current distribution is very different compared to what was observed with air stoichiometry. The same procedure as above was used to study the sensitivity to inlet gases’ relative humidity, save the fact that the air stoichiometry was this time held to the constant value of 2 and that both air andhydrogen relative humidity were set to 70% before being lowered to 25%. In Fig.7, a positive percentage again means that the current measured increased as the inlet gases’ relative humidity decreased.
