4.5 BAG SEALINGThere are three methods of sealing bags as mentioned in the table below.5.0 package type selection and design processThis section helps to determine the package type for all Applied Materials products. The package type selection is based on several criteria such as cleanroom requirements, weight of the products, interplant handling and repair needs.5.1 SPARE PARTS PACKAGING VS MANUFACTURING PARTS PACKAGINGSpare parts generally go through more rigorous distribution environments and may require more robust packaging. This is because they are typically individually packaged and shipped in small parcel or LTL (less than truck load) and therefore could see higher drop heights and mixed load freights.Manufacturing part shipments are generally in bulk since they are consolidated for shipping optimization. Because of heavier loads, consolidated shipments experience more benign distribution environments. All Level 1 and Level 2 parts must be individually packaged. Deviations might be approved.
