We want things to be the way we want them to be. When they don't work out, we feel disappointed. We have ideas about what's 'right'. We've got expectations about what's achievable (and what's not). This is completely normal. But it doesn't mean we can't influence our ideas. It takes effort and willpower, but we can learn to change unhelpful thought processes into helpful ones.
