The dry synthesized material is organized as highly homogeneous nanoparticles clusters with sizes of less than 100 nm,distributed in a disordered way (Fig. 2a). Hence, the medium seems to favor the nanoparticles assembly forming mesoporous nanostructured arrangements, Fig. 2c. The DLS particle size distribution,Fig. 2b, shows a unimodal curve with nanoparticles ranging from 20 to 40 nm. The nitrogen adsorption and desorption behavior (Fig. 2d) corresponds to a type IV isotherm, with hysteresis loop characteristics that confirms mesoporous structure. The average pore size is of the order of 3.2 nm, while the specific surface area of the nanoparticles is ~160 m2g-1.
