Abstract: With 19 years of raw ginkgo as the research object, per wood gauge, the influence of the structural factor of ginkgo tree crown on the diameter and dry shape of the trunk, the main results are as follows: (1) the layer and imbalance of the distribution of the first-level side branches on the Ginkgo trunk, resulting in the difference in the distribution of growth in different parts of the trunk. The performance shows that with the increase of the height of the tree crown, the number of first-level branches in the vertical direction of the crown shows a "one-year small one-year-large" fluctuation spacing, the layer spacing of the first-level side branches is between 0.58-0.82 meters, and when the number of a layer side branches is small, the layer spacing above the layer is larger, and vice versa. (2) The difference between the first-level side branches and their number and base diameter at different levels on the crown causes the uneven distribution of the trunk diameter and the material accumulation, resulting in a change in the shape of the trunk, which shows the "rise-decrease" trend of the base diameter of the first-level side branch with the increase of the height of the crown, and the base diameter of the first-level side branch in the middle of the crown is larger. Each round of side branches makes the trunk of the upper part of the layer's side branches thinner to varying degrees. With the upward movement of the first-level side branches, the side branches make the chest height rate show a decreasing trend. The growth of the first-level side branch diameter affects the distribution of the upper and lower diameter sour parts of the trunk.
