In the process of second language acquisition, it is not enough just to strengthen learners' attention to their language characteristics. If you want to successfully complete the memory and retention of the noticed language features, you need to process these language features in depth. For a long time, many research results in the field of second language vocabulary acquisition have emphasized the positive effect of deep processing on learners' acquisition of new knowledge. The results of such research have confirmed and supported the concept of "Depth of Processing" (Graik & Lockhart, 1972; Craik & Tulving, 1975; Craik, 2002). For this reason, in order to discuss the incidental acquisition effect of vocabulary in depth, it is necessary to explain the hypothesis of information deep processing in detail.
