Lesson Learned & Recommendations: This column should be populated with a description of the lesson learned from the situation described in column J and the corrective action taken or not taken . Include recommendations regarding the outcome of the corrective action, good or bad, to help guide future project managers to prevent and/or avoid this issue next time. Be specific and watch using jargon/acronyms. If acronyms are used, document the entire word and/or meaning; What can be done to ensure others don’t follow the same mistakes and can avoid the same circumstances. Provide a specific action (using SMART criteria). Mention the procedure reference if it is revised based on the recommendations. Define what items, knowledge assets, plans, and practices, materials that could be added to benefit the process. Be sure to indicate the discipline that can resolve this.
