After graphene, various two-dimensional layered materials have emerged one after another. The increasingly serious energy shortage and environmental degradation have put more demands on the performance of two-dimensional layered materials. Although graphene has many excellent characteristics, its zero energy band gap limits its application in catalysis. In 2009, Prof. Wang Xinchen's research group of Fuzhou University [] confirmed that graphite-phase carbon nitride can catalyze water to produce hydrogen under visible light, which undoubtedly opened a new path for the solution of energy, environment and other problems.
