For fatigue loads of car equipment and their fixations 10 Million load cycles shall be respected no matter if steel, aluminium, FRPs (fibre reinforces plastics) or other material components are used. The fatigue calculation of car equipment and their fixations shall be based on the endurance limit approach. The material characteristics shall have a survival probability of at least 97.5%. In the case of 97.5% survival probability a safety factor of 1.0 can be used. For the evaluation of the resulting stresses the required standards shall be respected in particular. (EN 12663-1)
