A pressure of about 20 mbar was applied to the samples in the desiccator for three hours, and then, with the vacuum pump still running, the desiccator was filled with limewater. The vacuum was maintained for an additional hour before allowing air to slowly reenter the desiccator. The specimens were stored in the solution for 18 ± 2 h prior to the test RCM test. Subsequently, the samples were placed in tightly clamped rubber sleeves, as is shown in Fig. 2 [28].
