Following on the research by Church and ReVelle (1974), many researchers attempted to improve MCLP models. Davari (2013) et al. include uncertainty in MCLP Model by considering fuzzy coverage radii under uncertainty, and established a new FMCLP model. They study a large-scale MCLP with fuzzy coverage radii under the Hurwicz criterion. In order to solve the problem, a combination of variable neighborhood search (VNS) and fuzzy simulation is offered. Other recent attempts to model covering problems in the fuzzy sense are the papers by Zarandi et al., 2011 and Batanovic et al. (2009). The former modeled a closed-loop supply chain network with coverage considerations, and used fuzzy goal programming to solve it. The latter suggested a MCLP in networks with uncertainty, and studied the problem with three different types of demand node weight: equal weights, relative deterministic weights and linguistic terms as the demand weights. However these models are for uncapacitated MCLP, without considering capacity constraints of facilities.
