Cold sintering was performed using a steel die and uniaxially pressed at 520 MPa using a Carver hot press and then heated up to 140°C for 60 min to achieve dense pellets (12.7 mm in diameter and 1–3 mm in height). The densities were then calculated by measuring the weight/geometry ratio of the bulk materials and the relative densities were computed based on theoretical densities for MoS2, Graphite AHM, and Thiourea, which are 5.06, 2.26, 2.49, and 1.43 g/cm3, respectively.
