The Escape" is a classical puppet animation that shows a particular fragment of cruel reality of two characters - castaways saved from an unknown disaster. The story is inspired inter alia by the events of World War II, the accounts of a few people who "have survived their own death" - death that was coming unexpectedly from their neighbors or friends. The events known as massacres and slaughters of people living in villages in Wolyn, Belarus or Jedwabne have influenced the story.
