Fashion majors in Pratt College are interdisciplinary and closely related to illustration, photography, film, performance, visual research and material culture. Through conceptual processes, students develop perspectives and inspiration, emphasizing curiosity, imagination and improvisation. They communicate their perspectives through construction and illustration skills, familiarity with materials, and traditional and digital technologies. Interdisciplinary and collaborative classes provide students with tools and creative opportunities for participation. With New York City as the laboratory, Pratt provides students with a wealth of opportunities to gain important experience outside the classroom environment, such as museums, archives, design studios and internships with top design companies.<br>
