COMPONENT - INSULATING DEVICES AND MATERIALS, MISCELLANEOUS (OCDT2)APPENDIX CINSTRUCTIONS FOR FOLLOW-UP TESTS AT ULGENERAL:The samples forwarded to the Follow-Up Services Department shall besubjected to the tests indicated in Table B of Appendix B as appropriate tothe product, and to additional tests, when required, as specified in SpecialAppendix B. Tests are to be conducted in accordance with the currentStandard for Polymeric Materials - Short Term Property Evaluations (UL 746A)and the Standard for Tests for Flammability of Plastic Materials (UL 94).FLAMMABILITY TESTS:MethodThe specimens must be verified for color, density and thickness, asindicated on Table B of Appendix B. The specimens are then to be subjectedto the appropriate burning tests in accordance with the methods described inthe Standard of Underwriters Laboratories Inc. for Tests for Flammability ofPlastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances, UL 94. Whenapplicable refer to Special Appendix B for additional information.Basis for AcceptabilityThe classifications obtained in the Follow-Up Tests are to be the sameas those indicated in Table B of Appendix B.
