In recent years, business communication research has shown a rapid growth trend, and politeness strategies in various business activities have received widespread attention. More and more researchers are beginning to pay attention to the concrete manifestations of politeness in business activities. However, there is very little research on politeness in cross-cultural business negotiations, especially in the context of real negotiations. Therefore, on the basis of previous researches on language politeness and business negotiation, this article explores the politeness strategies used by negotiators to preserve face-threatening behaviors in cross-cultural business negotiations based on Brown and Levinson politeness. According to the frequency of use, explore the characteristics of politeness strategies at different negotiation stages.
