All tests of this study were conducted under controlled or semi-controlled conditions and thus additional studies are currently being conducted in support of the original fifindings. Here we provide a fifirst set of solid evidence indicating that flflupyradifurone could serve as an excellent pest and resistance management tool in agricultural settings under pressure by whiteflflies. The unique properties of the insecticide would signifificantly contribute in advancing whiteflfly and virus control when used in a timely manner. Furthermore, clear guidelines should be communicated to farmer level, ensuring implementation of proactive insecticide resistance management tactics. It is essential to protect this and other highly potent products from overuse, thus securing, in the long term, the effiffifficacy levels of important insect resistance management tools.
