Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of ethylene and salicylic acid on plant growth and development. Methods After treating the two bananas with ethylene and salicylic acid respectively, they were placed under confined and dark conditions, and the maturation was observed, and water was compared. Results Bananas processed with ethylene were the fastest ripening, and bananas were ripe with salicylic acid. Methods two bananas were treated with Ethrel and salicylic acid respectively, and then put into closed and dark condition, and the ripeness was observed, and water was used as control. Results the ripening of banana was the fastest after Ethrel treatment and the slowest after salicylic acid treatment.
