PageRank allows links to "vote“ The "votes" of a page is determined by the importance of all the pages linked to it. A hyperlink to a page is equivalent to a vote for that page. The PageRank of a page is obtained through a recursive algorithm based on the importance of all pages linked to it ("linked pages"). A page with more links will have a higher level. On the contrary, if a page does not have any linked pages, then it has no level.
