In recent years wind energy has been the world’s fastest growing source of energy. The wind turbine industry is booming and is spending a lot on research for improving the performance of its present machines and increasing their capacity. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the dynamic behavior characteristic of 1.5 MW wind turbine system (WTS) and carries out the analysis considering different geometrical and material parameters. Vibration of the blade of the WTS on the flap and edge section of the blade that is one of the most important elements of dynamic characteristic of WTS is evaluated. Natural frequency and mode shape are calculated by the finite element analysis, with commercial program (ANSYS). The results are compared which are performed by the finite element analysis with commercial FEM program (ANSYS) on the basis of the natural frequency and mode shape.
