entire product life cycle. Serialized Items (“single” traceable) and batch items (“group” traceable) are the 2 sub-groups of Traceable Items. The identification of Traceable Items is a key cross functional activity (also involving Suppliers and taking into account customer contract requirements) coordinated by the Configuration Manager. The number of Traceable Items shall be reduced to the strict necessary.During the bid phase a preliminary version of the Traceable Items List shall be established (high level including all main systems), this list will become mature and be released during the specification and design phase. In the TIL, each item shall be listed with their instance, their functional location aligned with engineering installation drawings (according to EN 15380-3), product group (according to EN 15380-2), installation place (according to EN 15380-3) and their corresponding Maximo derived position as agreed with PI team.Once released, the TIL defines the scope for the As-Built and As-Maintained configuration records of the product stored respectively in ERP and MAXIMO. It is also the basis for the definition of Engineering Technical Reference (ETR) (refer to 0).The selection criteria to identify Traceable Items shall be defined in the CMP using the guiding principles described in the Configuration Management Standard [16].5.2.2 CM BaselinesCM Baselines are groups of Configuration Items under the ownership of one function. The main purpose of CM Baselines is to ensure conformance and consistency of the design and achieve a strong level traceability from the requirements to the product. CM Baselines are also supporting a progressive design approach and are a very strong mean of communication throughout the project to align all the stakeholders on common objectives. There are interdependencies between Configuration Items within the same CM Baseline (Physical hierarchy, physical interfaces, functional architecture, functional interfaces…). These interdependencies are described and managed by the design process. There are also interdependencies between CM Baselines as described in section 5.2.3.In order to guide and standardize projects but also to facilitate cross project communication, the following CM Baselines are defined (see (*) Target System of records are listed and shall be used where available.Table 1 below).
