At another crossroad, I asked the driver some basic information of being a Didi driver and she started to tell me her working experience. “It was all started from last year, “she said. “I was late to start from last year, because I should have started many years ago.” I asked her if she likes her job. She smiled humbly but did not answer it. Later, she had another sip of the water while waiting for the lights and started talking again. “I think everyone should experience different periods of their lives, be it bitter or sweet, every stage of it because life is not always about smoothness.” I smiled at her out of courtesy for that I had no idea if it was appropriate for me to reply to her. It seemed that she did not mind there was a reply or not, she kept talking as if it was persuading herself, “I work from 7am to 5pm every day, my work field is my taxi. It is not even my car, I have so many things to worry about every day. It is complicated, but I never let my heart feel tiring no matter how tired I feel psychically. I will listen to music to cheer me up. Life is hard but I tell myself every day that I am strong.”
