Hanging, taping and finishing drywall are home improvement jobs that everyone dreads. It isn’t just that they have a reputation for being messy, awkward, tedious and labor intensive: the majority of people who have installed and finished drywall in their homes have been disappointed by the end result. No matter how thoroughly we sand and how carefully we touch up, most of us never quite manage to achieve a flat, seamless and smooth wall or ceiling surface. So it isn’t altogether shocking that many people faced with the task of adding a new wall or ceiling worry about spotty, uneven walls, a touch of back strain and a house full of fine white dust.
