OperatingGuidelinesIt is recommended that ADCOTE™ 37P295 Heat Seal Coating be mixed just prior to use to assure product uniformity. As a formulating base, the dispersion is stable in most alkaline systems but will coagulate under acidic conditions. To ensure optimal block resistant properties, be sure that the substrate coated with ADCOTE 37P295 Heat Seal Coating is cooled over a chill roll prior to subsequent rewind or sheeting operations.Heat seal bond performance or blocking properties can be affected by inks, other coatings, retained solvents, or other substances which may offset in a roll or sheet. The end user should verify that these substances do not affect the heat seal performance or block resistant properties of ADCOTE 37P295 Heat Seal Coating.Foam Control As this dispersion is water based, care should be taken to minimize the generation of foam. Should foaming occur, we recommend a .01% to .05% addition (based on wet dispersion weight) of Rhodoline 999 defoamer from Rhodia Chemical or Foamkill 614antifoam/defoamer from Crucible Chemical.CleanupGuidelinesClean by flushing equipment with water. Spills should be cleaned with warm soapy water. Use a scrub brush to loosen hardened, dried on deposits. With standard safety precautions and adequate ventilation, warm toluene may be used to aid in cleaning dried deposits.
